Margaret "Maggi" Snyder, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on October 5, 2026, at UH Portage Medical Center, surrounded by the compassionate care of hospice staff. She was born on June 17, 1948, to Mary and Leslie Wagner, who, along with her beloved husband, Stephen "Doug" Snyder, and her brother, Bruce Wagner, predeceased her.
Maggi leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness through her surviving family, Son Joe Snyder (Peggy Harris) and Daughter Gina Lee (Michelle Lee), and her adored grandchildren, Dalton Lindesmith(Sandra Vega), Shelbi Storms(Matthew Storms), Shiana Brazelton, and Paige Chadima. Her heart was further blessed with five great-grandchildren, Mark Fassnacht Jr., Maxim Lindesmith, Orion, Silas, and Ashlynn Storms, who brought immense joy to her life. She is also survived by her dear sister, Lesli, and her lifelong friends, Penny, Carol, and Melody, who were like sisters to her.
Married to Doug, Maggi built a beautiful life filled with love and adventure. Together, they enjoyed traveling the world, spending cherished moments with their grandchildren, and sharing their home with beloved dogs. Doug and Maggi were a testament to a life well-lived, filled with shared laughter and love.
Throughout her career, Maggi was known for her passion for people. From her early days in door-to-door sales to managing customer service departments, she touched countless lives with her warmth and genuine care. Maggi's dedication to her work was only surpassed by her love for her family and friends.
A talented knitter and crochet enthusiast, Maggi found great joy in creating handmade treasures for her loved ones. Her skill and creativity were celebrated at the Randolph Fair, where she proudly earned numerous blue ribbons for her exquisite projects.
Those who knew Maggi will remember her as a kind and true friend, always ready with a friendly word or a dose of plain truth when needed. Her presence was a blessing to everyone she encountered, leaving a lasting impact on all who had the honor of knowing her.
In honor of Maggi's love for animals, the family requests that donations be made to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) in her memory.
A private funeral ceremony will be held to celebrate Maggi's life, honoring the woman who brought so much joy and wisdom to those around her. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all the caregivers at Altercare in Brimfield and Heather Knoll in Munroe Falls for their unwavering support and care over the past fifteen years. Your kindness and dedication have made a profound difference in Maggi's life.
Maggi's legacy of love, kindness, and strength will live on in the hearts of her family and friends. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
