Margie J. Culbertson passed away peacefully on June 28, 2026, at the age of 77.
Margie was born on November 4, 1948, in Akron, OH to Charles and Marjory Paul. She graduated from Norton High School. She dedicated many years to Ohio Bell before continuing and finishing her career with FirstEnergy.
Margie had a servant's heart and found great joy in caring for others. She was a devoted wife whose compassionate care for her husband, James "Cub" Culbertson, reflected the strength of their marriage. Whether she hosted a holiday meal or simply welcomed family into her home, she made everyone feel loved and cared for. No one ever left hungry. More than anything, she cherished spending time with her grandchildren, who brought her immeasurable happiness.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James "Cub" Culbertson; her parents, Charles and Marjory Paul; her brothers, John Paul and Jim Paul; and her nephew, Lucas Wright.
She is survived by her sons, Carlin (Megan) Culbertson and Rory (Jordan) Culbertson; her beloved grandchildren, Callie, Caden, Charlie, Conley, Delaney, and Sloan; her sisters, Melanie Paul, Marion Casey, and Hillary (Larry) Simmons; her brother, Chuck Paul; and many loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and extended family members.
Margie's kindness, generosity, and unconditional love will live on in the family she cherished and the countless lives she touched. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Margie's honor to one of the organizations she supported: St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Hope and Healing, Wounded Warrior Project, or Disabled American Veterans.
