Marilyn J. Bennington

Marilyn J. Bennington, 76, of Akron, passed away May 30, 2023.  She was born in Akron on December 15, 1946, the daughter of Evelyn Edwards and the late Cecil Edwards.  Marilyn was a member of Horizon Christian Fellowship and the Summit County Lapidary Club.  She will always be remembered as a person who loved her family.  She enjoyed sewing, quilting, gardening, taking walks, and making jewelry.  Marilyn adored her cats and had an affection for all animals in general.  

In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by her son John Bennington; and brother Gary Edwards.  Marilyn is survived by her loving husband of 56 years Don Bennington; daughter and son-in-law Deanne and Richard Dulabahn; mother Evelyn Edwards; brother Charles Edwards; sister Shirley Riggs; daughter-in-law Denise Bennington; grandchildren Drew Bennington, Jon and Evie Dulabahn, and Bridgette Williams; great grandchildren John and Charlie Bennington, as well as Naomi and Nixson Williams.  

Memorial and Celebration of Life for Marilyn will be held on July 2, 2023 at Horizon Christian Fellowship (2201 Lake Center Street NW in Uniontown, Ohio).  Service at 4:30 PM followed by dinner at 5:00 PM.  Please RSVP by June 28th to:  Deanne Dulabahn at deanned42@yahoo.com or Don Bennington at bigben19@live.com

 Per her wishes cremation has taken place and she will be laid to rest at Chestnut Hill Memorial Park.  Arrangements entrusted to Adams Mason Funeral Home (330) 535-9186.
