Marilyn Jane Curtis

February 11, 1933 — May 5, 2024

     Marilyn Jane Curtis, our sweet mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away on May 5, 2024.   

  Marilyn grew up in Akron, Ohio and attended East High School. She was  a homemaker for many years and worked as a receptionist for a family practice office in Kenmore.                                                

   She was preceded in death by her mother Katherine Keith and her father Joseph Rollence. Also, by Charlie and Ada Lessick who were her adoptive parents, as well as her sisters Edith (Victor) Bibby and Genevieve (George) Burris. Her husband of 52 years, Donald Curtis, passed away in 2005. She is survived by her beloved children, Denise (Ross) Campensa, Keith (Diana) Curtis, Mark Curtis, and Michael (Teresa) Curtis. Her grandchildren Shannon (Jeremy) Snee, Kelli (Jon) Kelley, Seth Curtis, and Breanna (Brenton) Neira. Her four great grandchildren Kellen and Kennedy Snee, Remington Kelley, and Brynnlee Neira.                           

     Marilyn loved boating, playing Euchre and was the CAVS #1 fan. However, her priority in life was spending time with her family.                                           

   A special thank you to the employees at Traditions Health hospice. Nurses Diana, and Kim, social worker Victoria, Chaplain Jodi and assistant Desire, all who put a smile on her face.                              

    Cremation has taken place, and a celebration of life will occur at a later date. Donations may be made to Traditions Health Hospice. 577 Grant St. Suite B, Akron Oh 44311.
