Mark Edward Zelmer

Mark E Zelmer Akron - Mark E Zelmer, age 66, passed away Saturday, April 8, 2023 at the Justin T. Rogers Hospice Center with his daughters at his side. Mark was born July 31, 1956 in Canton Ohio to the late Robert A. and Donna (Neel) Zelmer. He was a 1974 graduate of Glenwood High School and earned a degree in Communications from Bethany College in 1978. Mark was a reporter for The Californian in Temecula CA for several years. He then spent many years as a chef in both California and Ohio.

Mark is survived by his daughters Olivia and Lacy and the mother of his daughters, Amber Russell. He was brother to Laurie, Erich(Lisa) and Jeff(Brandon) as well as uncle to several nieces and nephews. Per Mark's request, cremation has taken place and there will be no services. A celebration of Mark's life will take place at a later date.
