Mary Ann Holland

Mary Ann (Estock) Holland, 90, of Alliance, Ohio, was called home to the loving arms of her Savior on Saturday, September 5, 2026. A beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Born March 9, 1936, in Alliance, Ohio, to Loretta Mae (Coron) and Andrew Jackson Estock, Mary Ann was a 1955 graduate of Alliance High School. She built a 40-year career at Alliance Manufacturing, retiring from her last position in quality control. Throughout her life, she was known for her strong work ethic, her generous heart, and her unwavering commitment to her family.

Family was everything to Mary Ann. She was preceded in death by her infant son, John Joseph Holland III; her son, John Joseph Holland Jr.; her brothers, Everett “Whitey” Estock, Andrew Estock, Raymond Estock, and Robert Estock; and her sisters, Marcella “Toody” Berletich, Tricia “Tessie” Nervi, and Shirley Scaia Estock Powell.

She is survived by her daughter, Colleen (Steve) Erisey of Maximo, Ohio; her grandchildren, Christopher (Jaimie) Holland of Watertown, New York, Lindsey Holland of Bozeman, Montana, and Allison (Collin) Diehl of Sebring, Ohio; and her great-grandchildren, Desai Holland, Bryor Salcido, Ronin Holland, Esther Diehl, and Margaret Diehl.

She also leaves behind her sisters, Delores (the late John) Denero of Aiken, South Carolina, Lucille (the late Joe) Eberling of Alliance, Ohio, Loretta (the late Tony) Best of Warsaw, Missouri, Roberta Whitney of Alliance, Ohio, and Maxine (Andy) Estock of Sebring, Ohio, as well as many beloved nieces and nephews. Her dear friends Alice Swartz and Marianne May, who were like family to her, also survive her.

Mary Ann was always warm and hospitable, ready to welcome loved ones into her home and to make each person feel cherished. Every Christmas, she made handmade gifts for the family, a tradition that spoke of her thoughtfulness and care. Her favorite way to host was around the table, serving spaghetti dinners with her famous homemade sauce and sharing her pizzelles and lemon blueberry bundt cake.

She loved live music, theater productions, and for years she enjoyed line dancing, loving called “our Energizer Bunny” by her family. Her three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren will remember her for board and card games, dance parties, walks to Silver Park, and her unending pride in every accomplishment they made.

Her last clear words to her daughter were, “Please tell everyone I love them.” To know Mary Ann was to be loved by Mary Ann. Through her actions, her words, and her unending kindness, no one who knew her could ever doubt the depth of her love.

A celebration of Mary Ann’s life will be held at Alliance Friends Church, 1307 W State Street, Alliance, OH 44601, on Friday, September 18, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. Family and friends are invited to gather to honor her memory, share stories, and give thanks for her beautiful life.
