Mary Ann (nee Confere) Parkhill “Nanny”, 80, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on January 29, 2026.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 47 years, Bud Parkhill, her son, Carey Lee Dye, grandson, Chris Tanksley, and great-grandson, Nathaniel McMahan.

Mary is survived by her sister, Nettie Wheeler, of Fraser, Michigan; her children, Kathy (Roland) Steinlechner of Stow, Belinda Dye of Stow, Hank (the late Lisa) Dye of Akron, and Michelle (Tom Abson) Dye of Akron. She leaves behind many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great- grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews, all of whom cherished and loved her very deeply.

Mary was a beautiful soul inside and out, and also had a deep love for all animals. Cooking and listening to Elvis Presley and Country music were a big part of everyday entertainment as well as the famous "General Hospital", her all-time favorite Soap Opera.

Mary will be remembered for her warmth and her great devotion to family and the love she gave to all of us every day.

She will be deeply missed. and deeply loved forever.

Following cremation, the family will host a celebration of life at a later date in the spring to honor the lives of both Mary and her son, Carey.
