Maryann Newman

Maryann Newman, a cherished mother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on May 11, 2024, at the age of 77. Born on July 23, 1946, Maryann's life was a tapestry of love, care, and vibrant passion. She is survived by her loving sons, Greg (Todd), Gary (Alana), and Mike (Jenny who is expecting baby Anthony Glen in a couple months.  Her boys remember her as a guiding light in their lives. Her sister Kathie and brother Jim recall her fondly as a beacon of strength and joy within the family. Maryann was preceded in death by her parents, Peter and Marie, siblings Shirley and Don, and her beloved husband, Tom Newman, with whom she now rests.

Maryann's younger years were filled with the simple pleasures of reading and tending to her garden, where she cultivated not just vegetables and flowers, but a sanctuary for all who needed respite. In her later years, she found comfort in the festive spirit of holiday shows on Hallmark, ensuring that the birds were well-fed and taking delight in watching the young deer frolic in her backyard. Her legacy is one of nurturing love, not only within her family but also in the natural world she adored.

As we bid farewell to Maryann, we celebrate the profound impact she had on those around her. Her memory will continue to bloom in the hearts of all who knew her, much like the flowers in the garden she once so lovingly tended.
