Michael Albert Fraley, born June 29, 1970, passed away peacefully on Friday July 14 2023, surrounded by family, after a brief illness. Michael grew up in Kent, Ohio and graduated from Kent State University with dual bachelor’s degrees in History and English. He then continued his studies, graduating from The Ohio State University with a master’s degree in Education. Michael took great pride in teaching his students, as he was a teacher for over twenty years in both the Warren and Cleveland Public School Systems. In 2015, he was awarded Head of the Class by the Cleveland Cavaliers, for excellence in teaching. He remained close with many of his students long after graduation. Michael loved reading and writing and hoped to write his own novel one day. Michael was a lover of classic rock, something that he passed on to his younger siblings as well as his children. He was incredibly intelligent and had a sharp wit and quick sense of humor. Those who were close to him knew him as kind, trustworthy, loving, and always ready to give great advice. Michael is survived and will be greatly missed by his parents Dana and Michael Fraley, bonus Mom Amy Breckenridge; siblings Andrew (Karissa) Fraley, Adam (Anna) Fraley, and Emily Sullivan; his ex-wife Kathy Fraley with whom he had three beautiful children: Joshua, Abigail, and Gabriel Fraley, and his first grandson Elliott. In addition, Michael will be missed by the many family members, friends, and students whose lives he has touched along the way.
