Michael Dean Kennell (Schramm)

Michael Dean Kennell (Schramm) . Born March 4th 1978 passed away on August 30th at the age of 47.

He leaves behind his wife Deanna Upchurch and daughters Lillian Upchurch and Kaitlyn Kidd (Ray) siblings Shane Selman (Heather) Tonya Keener, Michelle Sandman,Kelly Selman, Shannon Kennell, Stephanie Miller, Jesse Williams, Jackie Williams brother in law Dave Alcorn (Jenn) and Dave Selman who was more like a brother than a cousin, many niece's and nephew's and great niece's and nephew's.

Mike is preceded in death by his sister Tara Kennell, mother Karen Selman, father Arthur Kennell, nephew Michael Mellinger, grandmother Joyce Williams and his grandfather Alonzo Carpenter who he looked up to.

Mike was born and lived most his life in Akron at the age of two Mike was severely burnt and was adopted by Sherry the nurse that had taken care of him in the hospital. That is how he got the name Schramm. While growing up with Sherry ,her husband, two sons, and two daughters he had a grandfather who he looked up to like a father. They took a car apart and rebuilt it, which started his knowledge and liking to fix cars. Mike would do anything for anyone even when he didn't want to especially for his family this was his way of showing his family that he loved them and the only way he could help or support them. Mike would also help anyone if he knew how to do it he would do it. Mike had two daughters that he loved very much one he wasn't allowed to see but he thought of her daily and missed her, the other is his baby who he loved more than life its self. Mike had a long time girlfriend who if you asked him was his wife of 22 years. His greatest achievements one he gave his life to God, second was him slaying his dragon and putting the demon of addiction in a box and if it showed up he slayed it again to ensure he was giving the best of his self to his wife and daughter.

Visitation will be Wednesday, September 10, 2025 3:00-5:00PM at Home Missionary Baptist Church (1922 Oakes Drive), Funeral Service 5:00PM
