Michael Patrick McQuillen

Michael Patrick McQuillen, 66, passed away after a long illness on August 20, 2023.  He was born July 17, 1957 in Akron.  Mike served his country in the United States Army 82nd Airborne Division.  He retired from the Springfield Police Department.  He will always be remembered as a devoted husband, and a man who loved his children.  He loved life and put others first.  In his free time, he enjoyed a good meal, wood working, tending to the family garden, and photography.  He is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Paula McQuillen; daughters Antoinette DeStaffino and Casandra Eddy; as well as his grandchildren Charlie, Wyatt, Emily, Allison, and Alex.  The family will receive friends 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, Friday, September 8th, 2023, at the Adams Mason Funeral Home (791 E. Market Street), where a celebration of his life will immediately follow at 3:00 PM.  Pastor Dwayne Ray will conduct services.  Arrangements entrusted to Adams Mason Funeral Home (330) 535-9186.
