Owen Leroy Dilbert III

Owen L. Dibert III, 92, of Akron, passed away on Sunday, March 1, 2026, at the Gables of Green in Uniontown, Ohio.

Born on February 24, 1934, in Akron, Ohio, he was a son of the late Owen L. and Juanita (Woods) Dibert Jr.

Owen proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps from 1954 to 1956. Following his military service, he dedicated many years of hard work to B.F. Goodrich before retiring.

He found joy in life’s simple pleasures—a perfectly cooked steak or burger, traveling to new places, and relaxing on the porch with his pipe or an occasional cigar. Owen had a warm and welcoming spirit and never met a stranger; his easygoing nature and genuine kindness left a lasting impression on everyone he encountered.

Those left to cherish his memory include his daughters, Wendy (Virgil) Kline, and Brenda Guymon; Bruce Kimmich, Martha Kimmich, Sharon (Kimmich) Rickles; Stan Miller, and Debbie (Miller) Taylor. Owen had a wonderful, blended family with numerous grandchildren, and great grandchildren from California, Montana, and Ohio.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his son Michael Allen Dibert.

A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 5, 2026 at the Maranatha Bible Church 1424 Killian Rd. Akron, Ohio, 44312.
