Philip C. Alborn, 92, of Green, passed away on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, at the Allay Senior Care of Meyers Lake.

Born on August 11, 1933, in Fombell, Pennsylvania, he was one of ten children to the late William Ira and Georgia Hartzell (Nye) Alborn.

He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army during the Korean War. Following his military service, he built a long and dedicated career as a long-distance truck driver with Local 24 before retiring. In addition to his work on the road, he also spent time working as a butcher.

He made his home in Lake Wales, Florida, where he lived for 30 years and was well known for his generosity and kind spirit. During his time in Florida, he was a member of the First Baptist Church of Waverly.

In his free time, he found joy in life’s simple pleasures—watching for deer, enjoying classic Western films (with John Wayne as his hero), and indulging in his love of ice cream. He was also a proud member of the Masons.

Philip is survived by daughters Priscilla Carter, Pamela Alborn, and Peggy (Danny) Greer; son, Philip (Charlotte) Alborn and son-in-law, Jerry Wagner; nine grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and sister, Linda Spradlin.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Vera; daughter, Phyllis Wagner; son-in-laws, Russ Smith Jr. and Robert Carter Jr., and great-granddaughter, Amiyah Alborn.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a future date to honor Philip’s life and memory.

Adams Mason Funeral Home was entrusted with his care.
