Randy Johnson

Randy Johnson, 55, passed away August 26, 2026.  He was born August 10, 1971 in Barberton the son of Randy Johnson and Dora McCain.  Randy was a finishing carpenter by trade, and was active with Compass and supported people during their recovery.  He will always be remembered as a man who appreciated the simple things in life.  Randy was kind, charismatic, and altruistic to the fullest.  If someone needed help, he would give the shirt off of his back.  Randy was a forgiving and trustworthy person.  He was very loved and will be missed.

Randy is preceded in death by his stepfather Bud McCain; uncles Barry Barringer, Grant Wood; uncle and aunt Dan and Darla Hostler; and his grandmother Gladys Van Orman.

Randy is survived by his daughter Randi Johnson; mother Dora McCain; sisters Jodi (Jason) Himes, Jamie (James Anders) Burch, Shauna (Tim Babak) Walters; former wife Sherry Johnson; aunt Dana Barringer; special niece Ali Jo Peterson; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

The family will receive friends 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM Friday, September 4, 2026 at the Adams Mason Funeral Home (791 East Market Street), where funeral services will immediately follow at 3:00 PM.  Arrangements entrusted to Adams Mason Funeral Home (330) 535-9186
