Rhonda Christine Raymond, age 88, of Fairlawn, Ohio, passed away peacefully on January 23, 2026. She was born on October 26, 1937, in Spencer, West Virginia, and made Fairlawn her home for more than 30 years.
Rhonda was a quiet and reserved woman whose gentle nature and steady presence brought comfort to those around her. She found happiness in life’s simple pleasures—shopping, going out for a meal, and spending time tending to her garden. These moments brought her joy and reflected her appreciation for a calm and thoughtful life.
She shared 35 years of marriage with her beloved husband, James L. Raymond. Rhonda was a devoted mother to her daughter, Robin Raymond-O’Donnell (Edward O’Donnell), and a loving step-grandmother to Matt O’Donnell. She was preceded in death by her sons, James Brian Raymond and Eric Scott Raymond, whom she carried in her heart always.
Rhonda was also preceded in death by her mother, Rada Taylor, her father Clay Taylor, and her siblings: Harold Moore, Eugene Taylor, Simon Taylor, Ray Taylor, Clay Taylor, Pauline Geracci, and Wanda Justine Workman. She is also survived by her nieces, Brenda Albanese (Mike) and Sharon Walters; her brother-in-law, Larry Geracci; and many nieces and nephews who will fondly remember her.
She was a graduate of Central High School in Akron, Ohio, and dedicated approximately 15 years of her career to serving others as a caregiver at Rocky Knoll Care Facility—a role she truly enjoyed and took pride in.
A woman of deep and enduring faith, Rhonda was a faithful member of The Chapel for nearly 50 years, where her quiet devotion and commitment were a meaningful part of her life.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
The family would like to extend special thanks to the staff at Mulberry Gardens Memory Care for the compassionate care and kindness shown to Rhonda Christine.
Arrangements entrusted to Adams Mason Funeral Home.
