Richard Charles Sayre

Richard Sayre, age 88, has passed away at his home with his daughter by his side on April 19, 2023. He was born July 12, 1934, in Akron. Richard Graduated from Hower Vocational High School in 1952. He served on the Akron Police Department from 1956-1987.  

He loved selling at flea markets, auctions, his kitty's, Tiger Woods, potato chips & Hershey bars.

He was proceeded in death by his brother Wayne Sayre, granddaughter Danielle Sayre, wife Patricia Sayre, sons Jay Richard Sayre and Ric Sayre, and stepson Scotty Lloyd. He is survived by his sister Ginny Brookover (Don), daughter Tracy Bye (Mark), son Ronald Sayre (Carol), and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.  

A huge thank you goes to the wonderful care of Crossroads Hospice Nurse Jackie & Personal Aide Jamie they were the reason he was able to be at home as he wished. 

A celebration of life is planned and will be announced.
