With broken hearts and profound gratitude for a life beautifully lived, our family announces the passing of Robin Renee lckey (Wearley), 72, of Tallmadge Ohio. Robin left this life peacefully on Sunday, June 14, 2026, to be with her father in Heaven. She was surrounded by the deep love of her family.
Robin was born on December 16, 1953, in Akron, Ohio. Robin was the first of four children. She was the daughter of Joanne (Cullen-Nissel) Wearley and Gerald Nissel, Stepdaughter to Chester Wearley, Sr. Robin was preceded in death by her youngest brother Mark Wearley. Survived by brother Chester Wearley Jr. and sister Delaine (Wearley-Silvers) Sapp. She married Charles F. lckey on March 14, 1975 and he survives, with three daughters, Allison Jean (James) Garland of Tallmadge, Ohio, Darsy Renee Wilson of Akron, Ohio, Laura Beth lckey of Akron, Ohio.
Robin will also be missed by her niece Kim (Steve) Fry, of Phoenix, Arizona Niece Nikki (Silvers) Yamokaski, nephews Robert Silvers and Chester Wearley II. and the Shultz family.
Robin is survived by four grandchildren, Anthony (Alex) Wilson, of Akron, Ohio, Desire Brooklyn Renee Wilson, of Akron, Ayden Cain lckey of Akron, Jaxon James Keener of Akron Three great-grandchildren, Amari and Antonio Wilson of Akron, Giavanna Beatrice Renee Wilson, of Akron.
Robin was a 1972 graduate of Field High School. Beyond staying home to raise her daughters, she worked as an accountant for her husband's business, Brimfield Heavy Mechanical. Robin was a talented One-Stroke Folk Art painter and certified instructor. Robin was an excellent cook, her homemade bread, spaghetti sauce and Spanish rice will be missed. Robin loved music, dancing, soaking up the sun and the ocean. She was saved as a young girl and loved our Lord Jesus Christ. She shared her love of Jesus Christ with everyone she met, telling them how they could be saved and spend eternity with our Lord. Robin was a devoted wife to her husband Chuck for 51 years. Her daughters will continue her legacy of love, remembering her warm embrace, gentle hands, listening ears and sound advice. Her actions taught us grace, peace and to seek light when in fear or pain. Our grief is just the cost of love. May your gentle hands rest in the arms of our Father in Heaven.
In accordance with Robin's wishes a celebration of life will take place on August 22, 2026, from 2:30PM-5PM at 371 The Brooklands, Akron, Ohio 44305. Parking is on the corner of Newton and The Brooklands. A sign will be posted in the lot. You may also park on the Street. In honor of Robin consider wearing your favorite color of yellow. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to a local mission, church, shelter, or animal shelter in Robin's name. Robin loved animals and felt very strongly about supporting those in need.
