Russell A. Johnson

Russell “Russ” A Johnson Jr, 68, passed away on January 17, 2026.

He was born in Akron, Ohio where he lived his entire life. He always said he loved it.

He is survived by his partner of 44 years, Eddie “Romeo”Love, his sister Vicki Conley (Bob), his sister-in-law Pat Johnson (Rick), his nieces Brandy Snitchler(Adam), Rachel Tate (Matthew), and Amanda Hiner (Jamie). He is also survived by his great nieces Ysabel Conley, Ryley Mattingly and Dahlia Balkema and his great nephew Justin Mattingly, along with numerous cousins.

Russell is preceded in death by his father Russell A Johnson Sr, his mother Barbara JoAnn (Finta) Johnson, his brothers Rick and Kerry Johnson and his sister Rachelle Johnson.

Graveside Services will be held Friday January 30, 2026 at Lakewood Cemetery 1080 W. Waterloo Rd, Akron, OH 44314
