Ruth Arlene Haney

Ruth Haney, 79, of Kent, Ohio, passed away on July 20, 2026, at home.

Ruth was born on March 27, 1947, in Mogadore, Ohio. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Ruth was known for her spunky personality, strength, and stubbornness. She was a strong-willed woman who lived life in her own way and will be remembered for the lasting impression she made on those around her.

She is survived by her daughter, Michele Haney; her brother, Galen Hoffman (Sandra); her grandchildren, Stephanie Dewitt, Ian Winkler, and Janaei Carter (Chris); many great-grandchildren, and her faithful furry companion Pierre.

She was preceded in death by her son, Andrew Haney, and her parents, Andrew and Freida Hoffman.

Ruth will remain in her family and friend’s hearts along with all the memories they made.

In honor of Ruth and to respect her wishes, cremation arrangements were entrusted to Adam Mason Funeral Home, and no formal funeral services will be held. Rather, a celebration of life will be announced by the family at a later date.
