Shelley Marie Samuel

Shelley Marie Samuel was born January 29, 1971, to Jimmy and Belva Samuel in Akron, Ohio. Shelley is preceded in death by her mother Belva Samuel, Brother, Kevin Samuel, her Sister Gwendolyn Samuel. She is also preceded in death by her grandparents Thomas and Roberta Alice Watson, and her grandmother Magnolia Samuel.

Shelley attended Akron public schools, she graduated from Kenmore High School in 1989. Shelley went on to attend the Akron School of Practical Nursing, where she obtained her Associate Degree in Nursing. Shelley worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse for over 20 years. Shelley found joy in caring for and helping others. Shelley loved to read the Bible, watch movies, and various television shows in her spare time. Her greatest joy was visiting with her two grandchildren, Kaylani and Kingston. She enjoyed taking Kaylani to the park to play.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory devoted father Jimmy Lee Samuel, her daughter Mackenzie Leechelle Samuel, loving sister and primary caregiver, Deonna White, sister Monica Samuel, sister Branielle Samuel and brother Brandon Samuel. Aunts Barbara (Mose) Dabney, Jacqueline (Duane) Grimes; Uncles Thomas Watson Sr, Donald (Paula) Watson and Jeffrey Watson. Second cousin, Dr. Yovonne (Lee Roy) Bronner. Grandchildren Kayloni Samuel and Kingston Jews. Special Friends Lee Hardy and Linda Perry. The entire Harrisburg Family. She also leaves to cherish memories of her, nieces Keeanna Samuel, Jasmine Samuel, Deanna Greene and nephews Alecio Samuel and Isaiah Marks. She also leaves to cherish her memory, great- nieces and nephews and a host of other family and friends. Also, her friends at the Saferstein Towers II, where she lived.

The Family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the Prince of Peace Baptist Church Family. To the many family and friends who called, sent cards, text messages, visited and prayed, we are forever grateful for the outpouring of love during this time. We would like to give a special thanks to the staff at Akron General Hospital.
