Terry A. "Bud" Graske

May 12, 1955 — January 11, 2026

Akron

Terry “Bud” Graske died peacefully Jan. 11 at age 70, following a battle with brain cancer.

Bud was a large man, who lived life on a large scale, with a huge heart and a huge sense of humor.

Bud loved being creative—from a decades long career writing, directing, and producing video in public relations and advertising to writing, directing and acting in community theater.

He adored travel, visiting 49 of the 50 states and every continent except Antarctica. He especially loved Scotland, New Orleans, and Vienna. He loved music and theatre, old movies, and a hearty meal and a good laugh shared with friends and family. During his illness, he was blessed with an amazing quality and kindness of care.

The doctors, nurses and other caregivers were people he looked forward to seeing, who shared many laughs and hugs throughout a challenging journey. He was also blessed with an incredible array of love and kindness from family and friends. They made it possible for him to continue to find happiness in the smallest moments, even as the disease limited his ability to live life large.

He is survived by his wife Linda (Wyler) and beagle Duncan; a brother Tom Graske, in-laws who actually enjoyed his company, many nephews, nieces, great nephews and nieces, and friends all over the world.

Those wishing to honor his memory may make donations to Makeshift Theater of Akron, Ohio https://www.makeshiftakron.org

the French Quarter Fest of New Orleans, Louisiana https://frenchquarterfest.org or the Cleveland Orchestra

Arrangements entrusted to Adams Mason Funeral Home (330) 535-9186
