It is with heavy hearts and with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Vernon Gene/Buck Jenkins. 

He was a devoted son, brother, father, uncle, and fiancé. On May 12, 2025 at the age of 48 he went home to be with the Lord. 

He was born on May 24, 1976 in Uniontown, PA and resided in the Akron area most of his life. He was a long time employee at Kandal/Total Distribution Inc. in Tallmadge Ohio. 

Vernon enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was an avid Steelers fan, loved riding his Harley, hiking  outdoors, and has adored Scooby-Doo since childhood. He will be leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and the cherished memories that will forever resonate in our hearts.

He is proceeded in death by his father Vernon Gene Jenkins Sr.  and his son Vernon Gene Jenkins III.  Survived by his loving mother, Sandra, (Harry) Wicks, sisters, Christal (Hugh) Walsh, Barbara Jenkins, fiancé, Elizabeth Parrish, and her two sons Jaiden and Jack, his nephews and niece, Brandon, Rachel and Noah, as well as many family members and friends.

His calling hours will be from 3 to 5 PM with a service following at 5 PM on Tuesday, May 20, 2025  at Adams Mason Funeral Home 791 E. Market St., Akron, OH 44305. Please feel free to wear Scooby-Doo, Steelers, or the color, purple in remembrance of Vern. 

With Vern being a free spirit, weather permitting, ride your bike to the service to honor his last ride.
