Vincent Edward Novak

It is with a heavy heart that the family of Vincent E. "Spike" Novak announces his passing on July 3, 2026 at Akron General Hospital. He was born on March 12, 1963 in Akron, OH. 

He was preceded in death by his parents Chester P. Novak Sr. and Eva DiFeo Novak, brother Gregory and sister Rebecca. He is survived by brothers, Chester (Barbara) of South Carolina, Jerome (Barbara) of Florida, and sister Cynthia Novak of California. His wit and kind heartedness will be greatly missed by nephews Neil Novak, Keir (Melissa) Novak, and Devin (Amy) Novak and nieces Kristen Novak, Kimberlee Novak, and Lezlie (Jarvis) Whitehead plus many great-nephews, great-nieces, and all of the Novak and DiFeo cousins.

Vincent was a 1981 graduate of Archbishop Hoban High School and an alumnus of Ohio State University class of 1985. He treasured his time in Columbus and remained an avid Buckeye football fan, as well as a Cleveland Indians fan, his entire life. Vincent used his BA in Communication working for several different companies before settling as a dispatcher for the City of Akron police department. He was retired from the police department due to his ill health. 

A memorial service for Vincent will be announced in the very near future.
