William Patrick Zavodney

William “Pat” Zavodney went home to be with the Lord on May 7, 2025, peacefully at his home following complications from AML. He was born in Akron, Ohio, on June 28, 1945, the second of four children to Andrew and Edna Zavodney.

Pat graduated from Revere High School and was a lifelong resident of Bath, Ohio. He worked alongside his family at Kustom Sheet Metal and Roofing before founding his own company, Falls Roofing. Eventually, he returned to the family business, where he remained until retirement. Retirement, however, wasn’t the end—he went on to work at Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company, proudly making NASCAR tires for several years before retiring again.

Pat was a devoted Christian, a loving husband, a cherished father, and a loyal friend. He was a pillar of strength and compassion for his family, living a life defined by faith, humility, and service. A member of The Chapel in Wadsworth, he served in many roles throughout his years of dedication to the Lord.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Sandy Zavodney; and their three children: Shawn (Ginger) Zavodney, Kelly Zavodney-Hickman, and Heather (Vic) Andrew. He is also survived by eight grandchildren: Calli, Tristan, Shawn Jr., and Chase Zavodney; Bryce Hickman; Kristy, Amy, and Paul Andrew; as well as two great-grandchildren, Wendy and Piper.

Pat is also survived by his sister Sally (Gary) Zavodney-Sylvester; brother-in-law Charles (Shelley) Shea; sister-in-law Laura (Dave) Stouffer; and many loving nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his brother Andrew Sr. and his sister Donna Hoskins.

Per his wishes, private burial has taken place and Pat has been laid to rest.

A Celebration of Life will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, May 24, 2025 at the Chapel in Wadsworth (1391 State Road, Wadsworth, Ohio 44281).
